Nurturing BayBees!

Nurturing BayBees is a merge of perinatal home health and doula care designed as a home visiting program delivered by licensed nurses and certified doulas. Our nurses handle the families care plan and newborn screenings while our doulas handle in between care. Enrollment into our services may vary depending on a families stage at enrollment which can be during pregnancy, postpartum or after a loss. Families obtaining NBB services can expect to receive culturally tailored heartwarming and supportive care that is not limited by standard doula visits. By developing and offering these services, we want to help put a stop to preventable infant & maternal deaths and morbidity rates through possible early detection conducted from our in-home visits and virtual check-ins.

Pregnancy

Families can enroll into the perinatal home health service any stage of their pregnancy regardless of gestation.

Postpartum

Families can enroll into the perinatal home health service up until three months postpartum.

Bereavement

Families can enroll into the perinatal home health service up until three months post loss.

To qualify for free doula support your insurance company must offer doula benefits and or cover home health services.

All perinatal home health services end at three months post birth or of a pregnancy. Families have the option of continued support under our postpartum wrap-around services (excluding bereavement) under Nurturing Families Two. The PWAS service is extended to families up until 3 years post birth as an educational home visiting program. Visit our "Nurturing Families Two" tab to find out more!

Bereavement covers loss as a stillborn, infant death, miscarriage and termination whether elected or medical up until 3 month post pregnancy.
